Toth Mold/Die Inc. has just celebrated our 32nd anniversary of being in the injection molding industry.

It has been a quick 32 years and very eventful.  A lot of things come to mind when I think back to 1982. My two brothers, my father and myself  were running an injection molding company for a private owner. After 6 years of doing that, we got tired of making money for someone else and decided to open up our own business. When we did that, some customers followed us.  Some of them we are still injection molding for. Our foreman that we currently have, has been with us since 1982, and we also have some employees that have been with us for over 20 years.

My brother Tom and I have been operating the shop for the past 22 years by ourselves due to the passing of our older brother Steve Jr. and our father Steve Sr. We have seen good times and bad times. The key to success is to surround yourself with reliable vendors and employees.  At Toth Mold/Die Inc., we have been using most of the same vendors for our injection molding needs for the past 32 years. We also have a few great shops that we job out work to when we are overloaded.

Owning your own business is not as easy as most people think. You have to make sure that work keeps coming in and also going out. Important decisions must be made that could affect your future in the injection molding industry. Some of our projects that we have completed have been very expensive to produce and we have the responsibility of making sure the product(s) work properly.  One mistake on a big job could put you out of business. Owning your own business requires many extra hours compared to being employed for someone. It takes a lot of discipline also to own a business. You must avoid bringing work home with you especially if you have a family that depends on you.

I have really enjoyed the past 32 years of injection molding and injection mold making.  Developing products for inventors from start to finish has been very interesting and fulfilling.  I enjoy a good challenge and the feeling that I get when a project is finished is second to none. I have been blessed to be able to be in business for all these years.
