In Summer of 2007, Toth Mold/Die Inc. was presented with a concept to design and build a mold for a multi-purpose cleaning tool. Upon review, Toth Mold/Die Inc.’s experience in development led them to recommend a SLA model be created to test functionality and comfort of the handle. This model could also be used for market research to see if there would be interest in the product.
This was a wise choice since once the SLA was completed and an actual part was created, dimension changes to the tool were found to be necessary. If these changes were to be made when the actual mold was being built, they would have been quite costly. In addition, Toth Mold/Die Inc. knew that in this particular case, creation of a SLA model would be a fraction of the cost of producing a prototype and strongly suggested this to the customer.
The SLA model was completed and the inventor went on to complete her market study. She received a positive response and in mid November, 2007 gave approval to Toth Mold/Die Inc. to begin the mold build. The entire process from concept, testing, market study, mold build, to retail/wholesale market was only six months.
In January, 2008 the SO-E-Z was born. No more struggling with cleaning the inside of your windshield. All you do is fold a paper towel over a removable pad, reattach, spray your window with cleaner and wipe away. Easy cleaning and no streaks! It is SO-E-Z!
This multi-purpose tool can also be used for a number of chores such as cleaning your dashboard, windows at home, mirrors, stainless steel appliances, dusting furniture, or attach sand paper and use as a sander.
