Bowling Pin Promotional Product
I had an idea of injection molding a wood core of used bowling pins to sell as a promotional product. I did not know where to start. I found Toth Mold/Die Inc. on the internet and asked them if it was possible to do. With their experience in the injection molding industry they guided me in the right direction and supplied me with the design, mold build and production parts to make my product successful. I have been producing and selling my product for over four years. The quality and service I have received has been excellent over the four years. I could not have produced my product without them. The key factor in the whole project is that they took the time to talk to me and guide me in the right direction. Tim and Tom also did everything they said they would. I would recommend them to any inventor who needs to get started on a product. Toth Mold Die/Inc. is truly a one-stop shop!
Jack Gable, Donrite Bowling
My name is Richard Smith and I am the owner of Tractal Devices LLC.
The product I am selling through Amazon and my own website has been developed with the assistance of Toth Mold/Die Inc. in Bedford, Ohio.
When I first approached Toth Mold in 2010-2011, I was in the process of obtaining a United States Patent on the Tractal Erectile Device and Seal. This is a fancy name for a medical device which helps men who suffer from Erectile Dysfunction. It’s basically the simplest vacuum pump of its kind.
Although I had been an engineer for over 40 years, I had no idea how difficult it is to turn an idea into an actual product. The guys at Toth Mold along with their consulting designer worked me through the process one step at a time. The Tractal Devices pump is presently covered by two United States Utility Patents 8690574 & 9314396).
The vacuum creating device I sell is not something people usually talk about. I showed Tim Toth a portion of my design and ask him if he thought it was feasible to make it out of molded plastic. Right off, Tim assured me that they were willing to work hand-in-hand to turn whatever product idea I had into a fully working manufactured device.
I left the initial meeting with a signed copy of a nondisclosure agreement and a handshake. My next step was to visit “Rudi” their consulting designer. He turned my ideas into drawings the Toth Mold facility could use to make my product. Six months later, the mechanical drawings had been turned into real hardware.
It took another few months before the Toth operation was able to get the mold functioning properly. My design was very involved in that there are undercut volumes within the product that needed to be ejected from the mold pedestals during production. It turns out that in order to have no seams within the product interior this is no easy task. However, all the trial and error development work was handled successfully by the Toth brothers. And all the initial work of constructing the mold and getting it working was done within the original cost estimate Tim had given me in my first visits.
Presently, I have worked with Toth Mold/Die Inc. for over five years and they continually handle every difficult technical problem without hesitation.
It’s been a pleasure to work with Tim and Tom Toth and I would do it again without hesitation. I have worked with a lot of engineering firms over the past 45 years of my personal engineering career and these guys are the best at getting the job done right.
After some years sailing and voyaging on my boat I got the idea to make the Dolphin Whistle. As a jeweler I had the knowledge and tools to make my prototype but knew little about injection molding. Unable to find a manufacturer, my project was stalled.
One day, searching on the internet, I found the Toth Mold website. It said they specialized in unusual ideas and small runs. I sent in my prototype expecting to be dismissed as just another “dreamer”. Instead I found enthusiasm and encouragement for my idea and expert knowledge and craftsmanship in turning my dream into a real and profitable business.
Many thanks to Tim and Tom and the crew at Toth Mold and Die.
